Dr. Elise May - Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Elise May, a board certified plastic surgeon, is a hometown girl from Amarillo. She grew up in a farming family graduating from Randall High School, attended Texas Tech University for her undergraduate work and obtained her Doctorate of Medicine degree (M.D.) from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Elise graduated in the top of her class and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha honor society as a Junior student. While in Houston, she participated in research at MD Anderson Cancer Center in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, where she gained a great interest in comprehensive breast care. During this time, she completed her 5 years of General Surgery training, as well as a fellowship in Surgical Breast Oncology at Baylor University Hospital in Dallas. Unlike many other Breast Surgeons, she then pursued a 3 year Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at St. Louis University Hospital in Missouri.

Dr. May offers care encompassing all areas of plastic surgery including: cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face/body, breast reconstruction, hand (both elective and trauma related), facelifts, and body contouring after weight loss.

She is an active member of several national societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology. Dr. May is a devoted mother to her son, Cauy. She is excited to provide the community with the same compassion and devotion in her surgical practice. She and her staff strive to provide the most up-to-date patient education as well as surgical techniques to those in the Texas Panhandle.
